Send good wishes...Our New Home

So, after help from my parents, and a huge leap for Mike and I, we have put in an offer, and it was accepted, on a beautiful very small new condo in Orange County (Aliso Viejo, CA which is about 10 mins to Laguna Beach, and 10 minutes from Irvine, CA where I work)...We should close in 28 days...

It is a 1 bed/ 1 bath, which will be hard to get used to after growing up in very large homes (except from my year in Manhattan!

) Even though the complex was just renovated by a major corporation who rented it out for 10 years first (they were designed as condos though)...I want to change the light fixtures, and the mirror, etc...minor things...

The complex has two resort style pools, fine lounge chairs (the nice ones!!!) and a wonderful work-out facility....which should be helpful in my plight to lose weight!

UCLAbelle: it''s gorgeous! I love the all white kitchen, I would love to have one myself! Congratulations on your new homeowner status, I bet you will find it''s not that small when you guys start cleaning it, lol!

My DH and I moved into our first house 3 years ago, I still call it my dollhouse because we both grew up in much larger homes as far as sq. footage, etc. But you know, it only takes me a couple hours to clean a 2 br, 1 ba! My biggest issue is and always has been the 1 ba, so hard to share a ba with a guy, and previously we rented an apt. that was 2 br, 2 ba so we each had our own ba quarters and got all spoiled on that! But we haven''t killed each other or divorced yet over sharing a bath, so I think it''s do-able. LOL!

Your view out the back of the condo looks so lush and green and nice! Keep those pics coming, I am enjoying your grand tour!

Congratulations first time homeowner! Woohoo!

Your place looks beautiful! Having your own laundry room is a huge deal! I really wish we had our own washer and dryer! Very exciting! Please share as many pictures as you'd like! I would love to see more!

I got a little ahead of myself when posting, you were posting the rest of your pics while I was typing and I didn''t realize, LOl!

I''m so happy for you, and really for any first time home buyer. It''s such a great feeling to walk into your first place that you actually "own'' and realize you can do whatever you want with it to make it your own. Sooo much fun buying furniture/appliances, and painting, decorating, etc. The first time I put fresh flowers in a vase on our DR table just had me over the moon, ha ha!

I look forward to you inundating us with pics! you have a beautiful new home and I''m so interested to see how you decorate it, don''t worry, you won''t bore me or probably anyone else here on PS, we live for this stuff, you know that!

What a perfect home for you guys! It looks great! How lucky to have your own laundry area. I have a good friend that has lived in Aliso for years and loves it. I love how centrally located it is in OC. We are in down in SC and it feels like we are in the boonies sometimes

Absolutely charming! The kitchen is so bright and inviting--makes me want to come over and have a cup of coffee (or a glass of wine, LOL). And I'm so envious of your *laundry room*! We have a stackable in a closet and it drives me crazy. On the "absolutely must have list" for our next place is a laundry room.
