Congratulations!!!!!! It looks amazing! And I would be excited about laundry on the premises too.

My husband and I lived in a tiny condo for two and a half years, and we loved it. I wouldn''t give up all our space to move back there now, but it will always have a special place in our hearts. And I remember thinking that even though it was such a relief to move and have so much more space, I would miss having my husband within arm''s reach at all times.

The kitchen looks super clean, up to date and the appliances look new and not the standard low end models -- granite countertops? It looks really nice, well kept, a perfect first home. I like the built ins in the bedroom, too.

Congratulations!

Kaleigh and I will hold you to it!

Your new home looks lovely... great way to start off. The pool area sounds wonderful.. Any pictures to look at ?

The Laguna Beach area is exciting - I was there in the 80''s on my "first honeymoon".. It is really beautiful and looking forward to more pictures once you get settled.

Best of LUCK.. Big difference from University City...

I agree, the kitchen looks brand new and up-to-date. Love the stainless appliances and granite counters.

Congrats on your new home!

Once again, I treasure each of your comments. I haven''t gotten much support from people at work, or other friends...as they say the condo is so small. But, the cost of living in Orange County is so high (well, CA in general), that it is really all we could comfortably afford right now (i.e. I still want to shop, and eat out, and travel, etc)...It does bother me on occasion that had I stayed in Pennsylvania, for the price of the condo I could have a pretty nice house

Oh well, it is the price I pay to live close to family, and by the pacific...

Hey, who cares what those people say or think. I think you''re condo is lovely and I''m jealous. You''re going to have so much fun decorating it! And just think, since you''re living in a place that you can afford you might be able to put extra $$ away towards a down payment on a larger house in the future. Condos almost always have good resale value because they appeal to traveling business people, young couples, and older couples. I think it''s a great place to start. And I can tell you from personal experience, cleaning a 4 BR house by your self is NOT fun!

Just check out the small condo thread to see how many of us have lived or are living in tiny condos. If anyone is making a negative comment, my guess is that they''re jealous, either of your place or that they made big sacrifices to own the house or place they have when it''s really not all that much better. Their attitude is probably, why didn''t you drink the coolaid that we''ve all drunk that says that you should always be teetering on the edge of bankruptcy just to own 1,000 more square feet?

When you feel down, just be glad you have more than 275 square feet!

Your condo is very cute and it stinks that people are not very supportive of your new home purchase. My BF and I have been "shopping" around different communities and have considered purchasing a condo to be able to live in some of the areas we are considering. So many people have criticized our ideas of purchasing a condo, for several of the reasons you have mentioned.

Though, I can see why the negativity can be frusterating, try not to let other people bring you down about your decision. Enjoy!

Thanks HudsonHawk, PhoenixGirl and Omieluv- I cannot thank you enough for your words of wisdom. It is really hard to not let others get me down (it is a bad trait!). I could try and live in 275sf in Manhattan though...OH SO MUCH TO DO!!!!

I miss my old home there often

3 words of advice: Illegitimi non carborundum.

Your new home is beautiful, and your co-workers are probably wishing they had bought it.

my parents just sold their house in aliso viejo (they lived there for 6 years) and are now living right next door in laguna woods (their condo overlooks the 133). your new condo looks lovely, and the area is wonderful! i wish my condo had a new kitchen, or at least new plumbing. congrats on your new home. your commute-time is amazingly short, even for the OC, and you can''t beat the location!

Congratulations!!! It sounds like your new home is in a wonderful location. And it''s been updated. Both are important. You could have spent more money but then you''d have a very different lifestyle. And who would want that? Not me. Not you.

What an adorable Condo! It''s wonderful that it''s newly update and it just looks so cute and perfect!

Right now we''re living in a larger home and we both miss our smaller places. Somehow it''s just so much easier to keep on top of things in a smaller place.
