Semi-bezel tension style? How hard to resize?

I need to have my engagement resized down two sizes. Do you think this will be possible without ruining the shape? (I'm concerned about maintaining both the lovely round shape of the shank and the nice parallel lines around the setting.) Also, how would you describe this ring to a jeweler? Is this a semi-bezel or half-bezel, tension-style?

Thank you in advance for any help!

Yes it is possible.
It requires a person who knows what they are doing.
If I were doing this job I would cut out the diamond setting.
Add a block the same width as the setting in the head and solder in place.
Resize at the back.
and then remove the block and solder the diamond and setting back in place.
You would be hard pressed to know anyone had played with the top.

But 10 other jewellers may have 10 other valid approaches.

Just send the photos to the jeweller.

That's called a bezel setting.

Sizing shouldn't be all that difficult but it does require a capable goldsmith to do it well. If they're capable of doing the job, they'll know what to do.
