Selling on DB?

I took the leap and listed some items on DB yesterday. This morning I have a message about one of my items, looking like I have a PayPal deposit for the correct amount, and I do see the deposit when I log into PP. But it doesn't look 100% right, and now I feel a little foolish for not learning a little more before embarking on this journey!

Can you enlighten me on what kinds of things might indicate a fake buyer? Does that happen? Advice for newbies who just went diving right in?

I'm off for a 13-hour work day, so won't see replies till this evening -- but thank you in advance!

What do you mean when you say you can see the payment in PayPal but it doesn't look right? What looks wrong?

I think what was throwing me was the email I got about the transaction. It didn't look like a real PayPal email because it had the buyers name in the subject line. And on PayPal, the buyer was referenced as "unverified." At any rate, because the buyer was outside of the US, I refunded the payment via PayPal and I guess I need to change my listing to reflect that I will only ship within the US.

Yes this!!!
When selling on DB i wouldn't do the option to pay direct via paypal. I prefer to "talk" to my customer to see if they have any questions or to see if I'm even comfortable selling. I have denied requests before just because I didn't like the way email conversation went. If you feel comfortable then you can shoot out a request for invoice via paypal and everything is roses and butterflies.
