I am having a hard time pulling the trigger on buying a diamond. I want to make sure to get the best diamond for my money and after looking at them over the past 6+ months, I think it is time. I am a proponent of getting all the information as possible before buying, so I thought I would get your advice. I used the HCA tool to narrow down to three in the 1.25-1.4 CT range. The ones I am looking at are as follows:

The first and last are about $1000 more than the second diamond. Can they be THAT much better?? For that reason, I am leaning toward the middle diamond. With that said, it has Strong Blue Fluorescence. How does that affect the look? Also, it is a Canadian diamond i presume because of the maple leaf. Are there any pluses or minuses to that??

Thoughts??

Thank you so much for the help!!!!

Strong fluorescence shouldn't be a problem, and can be an asset as it helps the stone face up whiter - and because it's considered undesireable, it can result in a lower price. However in some stones it shows up as "milkiness" so ask the sales associate to have someone evaluate it for milkiness.

I have a 1.5 G VS1 with strong blue fluorescence and I actually looked for it on purpose! The only time I can see the the fluoro is when I purposely shine a UV light on it. There is a very slight tinge of lavender in the sunlight, but I usually don't even notice it. Here is a thread with pictures of my diamond:

It is true that fluorescence usually means a discount in higher color diamonds because there is an unfounded prejudice against it. I consider it a bonus! But you can read more about fluorescence here:

It might be possible to see that cloud inclusion in the table area of that 1.31 G VS2, especially if it is dark or garnet color. Ask if it's visible from the top and/or from the side. That's an area where it's hard for an inclusion to remain hidden at all angles and under all lighting conditions. It might stand out in "hemisphere' or office lighting, is what I am thinking.
