I have located a 1.0 carat diamond for my wife as a wedding anniversary gift. Specifications as follows:
Cut: Round Brilliant
Measurements: 6.48 x 3.85mm
Weight: 1.00 carat
Depth: 59.3%
Table: 64%
Girdle: Slightly Thick to Thick
Culet: None
Polish: Very Good
Symmetry: Very Good
Clarity: VVS2
Color: G
Fluorescence: None
Clouds not Shown

The asking price is US6500. My questions are:
is this a good cut because the table is 64%?
is the price reasonable?
Please help before I decide to buy it. It comes with a certificate.
Thank You :wavey:

Thanks cut-nut for the quick response.
What price should I pay for this diamond if my wife insists on it?:naughty:

Cut Nut is definitely right. I would only add that why push for a VVS2 clarity in a G stone. You could do better on the cut and get a G VS2 or even SI1 for a much better price. The cut will affect the brilliance of the stone more than anything else so you should try and find a stone that has better measurements. Good Luck
