Does anyone know of any other brands besides this Kinetic one that has no battery and functions based on movement and wear?

There are many including Rolex and Omega.

Hrm. Maybe I should rephrase...Under $400?

There''s another thread on here re: Citizen Eco Drive...they don''t have battery....run on power from light source.. I have had one several years....they have many styles, some with Swarovski crystal....prices are very reasonable......I think most are under $300.

Oh heck yea! i have 4 picked out already!

Thanks ladies!

Swatch are doing a nice one that I am quite keen on.

The Seiko Kinetic tends to be really heavy, with a very thick case.
My mom wears one. She has had a LOT of trouble with the movement.
It randomly stops charging the battery (or whatever mechanism they use.
When she brings it in for service with this complaint they look it over and tell her that it''s working properly - and she must be the problem!

My father wears a Citizen Eco drive. It''s much thinner and lighter than many automatic/kinetic/solar movements.
He''s never had a problem with it. It works beautifully.

Ame, I''d go with the Citizen Eco Drive.
There are a number of internet sites where you get get them discounted.

Scitillating...

I think I might go try on a Citizen this weekend. They are reasonably priced by comparison.

Look for Labor Day Weekend Sales!!!

Saw lots of Citizen''s on sale and none were the ones I wanted, some close but not close enough. Most of the stores with the sales only carried a few styles.

Onto the christmas list it goes!

Thanks!
