hey everyone!

I actually have two questions for you all.

1. I would love to know what type of setting you think my ER is. hah i know that sounds crazy but i honestly don't know. a friend of mine is a jeweler and set it for me. i first wanted the Stuller Solstice because i didn't really want a knife edge band but if i recall it was out of our price range so she did the next best thing. however, i have no idea what it is called ::) anyway, my question is: do you think this is a knife edge mounting? i can't decide...

2. i just received this lovely half round band on the PS pre-loved jewels board and i love it! i was looking for something simple to pair with my eternity ring. as i mentioned, i really prefer a half round band over a knife edge so i really didn't want to get a plain knife edge band. so my question number two is this: do these two different shaped rings look good together? i have been considering changing my ER mounting simply bc it is a little two knife edge but i would like to know if you all think this looks okay. i am on the fence.

thanks for all your feedback!

I am not sure your ring is a true knife edge but it does come up to more of a ridge than a rounded one. But I think the band looks fine with it! The band doesn't have to exactly match! And I like your ering...I'd leave it as it is!

thank you! that's kind of what i was thinking. it seems to be in between the two styles. i appreciate your feedback, i really do like the simplicity of the set. :))

I adore that classic look! I have always had a solitaire, too! My original ring was almost just like yours except for 4 prongs, and I may end up with a 6 prong Tiffany setting because I like that look so much!

That was great that you found that band on the pre-loved forum! And I do think it would look pretty with a diamond band at the bottom, too!

It is a very nice band, perhaps not exactly knife edge but half knife edge.. I tried on a knife edge, it is not exactly comfy at all poking my side of my middle and pinky fingers. So yours is very nice, it is just like mine.
I love solitaire look and yours is nicely set.

I think we have the same setting, mine is from Stuller but a pear head. It kind of looks knife edge but it is not. The top sticks up a pinch higher than any of my bands.

totally agree

I think they look great together.

They look great together.

ditto!!!

Your set looks beautiful! the only reason why I would change out a knife edge set or any other set for that matter is for comfort reason personally (comfort is top on my priority list when I buy a ring).

It looks great! I agree, it looks like a happy medium between a knife edge and a half dome, but it's nice none the less! ::)

I love the two together.

thanks so much everyone!! i feel better. i needed an outside opinion besides my own nitpicki-ness haha

If the half-knife edge of your ering bother you, you can always have it shaved down.

I love both though, so I'd leave it. If it's uncomfortable on the other hand, I'd do something about it once I've worn it for a while. I wear my ering everyday so it's not worth feeling uncomfortable about it.

Just wanted to add all three rings together....i really like this look and i think i'm going to wear them this way!

I think it's classicaly beautiful! I wouldn't change a thing!

I agree. it's wonderful....unique but classic. I actually love that it's not matchy matchy. I would call that a slight knife edge though.

I think the three together look really pretty!

thank you for the feedback! i am enjoying all three together and am starting to really like the non matching look as well. :)

Your set is perfect and it looks great on you, so, please, leave it as it is.
