Hi everyone, I saw this round lgd today and am considering buying it but would love to hear some opinions on quality/value before I make the final decision!

Details: 1.37 ct VS1 H&A ideal cut, E color, HCA 1. $1495. HPHT.

I might be able to price match a bit lower if I dig around enough.

Proportions, 360, in person vids, hearts scope view (I did my best - not sure if issue is angle or if maybe not the most ideal hearts) and ASET (I also did my best here haha) all can be found here:

Thank you all!!

It's a beautifully cut stone! On a quick search through a few dozen stones, I couldn't find one that was better cut for cheaper. If you can price-match lower, then of course that'd be awesome, but otherwise, I think you found a really great stone for a good price.

Hello and welcome to PriceScope, Lau!
Agree with Kim N - you've found a picture-perfect diamond, and huge kudos for getting ASET images to verify the optics!

Hello again and happy holidays!! I very much appreciate those that took a look at my photos and details when I posted originally! I went ahead and purchased, but still had some follow up questions that have come up, and I'm within the return window. I recently received this additional photo of the diamond after asking the jeweler about tint/nuance because I hadn't specifically asked about it before, and didn't really look for grey/blue when I saw it in person, but rather just yellow. I know the best/only way to really look at tint/nuance is on its side, but honestly, I still can't tell anything from this new picture. Is this photo useful to those with a better eye? And if so, does it show any grey or blue to a concerning degree? I don't mind a little, but I would hope it's not obvious if, say, I put a pave wedding band right next to it one day that has no tinted/nuanced diamonds.

I wonder if I'd need to ask for a photo next to a natural diamond of the same color grade?

Thank you all again for your expertise!!!

I don't believe it has blue nuance. Have you been able to bring it around your usual lighting environments to see how it performs and how the color looks?

Thanks for taking a look again! When I saw it in person I tried to get as many different lighting environments as possible, but didn't end up with more environments than by the window in direct/indirect light which can be seen in the videos/photos in my first post. It looked fine to me there but I didn't have any 'control' or equivalent non-lab comparison. This jeweler is also setting the diamond, and furthermore is in a different city, so I haven't had the diamond in hand at home. I was in the jeweler's city to see my family last month which is how I saw it in person initially. Unfortunately it's looking like I won't receive the finished ring product until the return window is over at the end of January since the ring isn't in production yet, and that takes 3-4 weeks (getting a 3D resin print delivered tomorrow though). Maybe I can ask for an extention of that return window due to the holidays for peace of mind and see what they say.

Yes, it doesn't hurt to ask.

I'm not seeing any signs of a Type IIb, either.

Great, thanks again! I wasn't able to get that return extension for the stone, but this info is comforting. Plus the resin looks good so I'll give the go-ahead for production and maybe I'll still have a day or two after it arrives to change my mind! But I think it will be great, and on the off chance it's not perhaps I'll reset it into something else eventually.
