Edward

I am no expert. I just bought my first ring. What i like to do is to check to see if that proportion qualifies for AGS Ideal as well. According HCA graph and AGS grading chart for 6mm 56% table, 33.5 crown and 40.8 pavillion combination does not qualify for AGS ideal.

If you find a diamond whose proportion qualifies for both gia ex and ags ideal, then i see if the proportion also fits under the whats considered the ideal. You know that 53-58 table, 60-62 depth, 34-35 table angle, and 40.6-41 pav angle. This may be tough.

My minimum requirement is both ags ideal AND gia ex proportion. Thats how i shop with my limited knowledgr

Please correct me if i am miss interpreting charts and ags grading system.

Scores a 0.8 on the HCA - now ask for an idealscope image to assess light performance.
