Second opinions please!! Should I buy...

Hi all,

I'm pretty close to buying the following lab diamond from JA. Before I take the plunge I really wanted to get your opinions please! The diamond is held till the end of the weekend, so would hugely appreciate any advice / views.

Lab-Created 1.21 Carat round diamond

This 1.21 carat Lab-Created round diamond G color vs2 clarity has Ideal proportions and a diamond grading report from IGI

Looks very clean for a VS2 (to my eyes / in my opinion) and the higher crown angle and smaller table and (what looks like) shorter Lower Girdle Facets (so 'fatter arrows') should be good for creating fire

Note that it has Blue Nuance noted - some in the trade avoid that, but *personally speaking*, I think it's pretty cool - who wouldn't want a diamond with blue undertones when 'genuine' Mined blues are mega-money?!

Thanks so much for your perspective! Yep - I think it's not too bad for the price on the HCA tool!

I don't know much about blue nuance, but I noticed a little bit of blue reflection on even earth mined diamonds on JA, so I'm hoping this stone doesn't look completely off in terms of colour! It's the only thing that's bugging me atm, but like you, I'm wondering whether the blue tint offsets the G colour and actually results in quite a white stone.

Honestly the blue is the first thing I noticed, but it looks like a nice stone. I say get it and look at it in a million different lighting situations. If it bugs you even a little once you have it, it probably always will. But JA has a great return policy!

I have had a look at BE and seen the following - doesn't look like there's any blue nuance and it faces up with the same dimensions. The report is from gcal in the link:

I was going to set it in a halo setting. If it's the JA diamond, it'll be this setting (https://www.jamesallen.com/engageme...-halo-engagement-ring-round-center-item-18301)
If it is the BE diamond, it'll be the following setting, which is beautiful but I little more expensive, although it includes taxes (https://www.brilliantearth.com/French-Halo-Diamond-Ring-White-Gold-BE1D11H-1386023/)

What do you guys think of these settings too?

They're so similar, but should it be the JA combination or BE? Help pls

Not to sway you but I believe BE hasn't had the best reputation of late here so please search up topics from those who reviewed their experiences with BE.
I've bought mined stone and lab stone jewellery with JA and never had any issues.
