Asian men aren't seen aren't seen as strong and capable. They are smart, and good followers. Cops love Asians - they are so obedient! Plus, if they aren't, what are they going to do? They don't play football or hockey or laX (typical 'strong' sports), they play badminton and chess. Cops aren't afraid of Asians, so they have nothing to fear from cops either. They are never the lead love interest, so no one is afraid of them stealing their girl.

Here in California (DF's home state...and actually I live in his hometown) we have a huge problem with Asian gangs. They are some of the most deadly and most notorious gangs in our state. This is nothing new. They have had a presence for many decades. They are taking over in many areas, bringing down property values in our area and making citizens live in fear...just like any other gangs in the state.


We should stop with the stereotyping right now. It doesn't do anyone any good. Let's just be real. Ok?

It looks bad for the officer, Ruby, as I said. I saw the victim first with hands up, and then he appeared to reach down to his pocket. Couldn't see from video, but I think that's when he was shot. Wonder if they used a tazor; if not, why?
Although it appears to be a terribly bad shooting, it's best to wait for a full report before locking up the police woman, imo.
I actually saw a clip of the video last night, just the part with Crutcher holding up his hands and walking away from police. My post of the video wasn't my "first thoughts." Didn't take long for this thread to go nasty.
