I searched old threads, and I couldn''t find anything that really addresses this issue- what''s the easiest/best way to resize your rings seasonally? I got my engagement ring in July and it fit fine. The size is 5.5. We got my wedding band in September, and it is a size 5.25. The size 5 fit, but I thought it would be too tight in the summer. Now that the weather is getting a little colder, both rings slide around and twist and turn like Crazy. I imagine it''ll only get worse when real winter hits. Anyway, I''d rather not have to solder on sizing beads and take them off every 6 months, so I was wondering if there are any other options that don''t look tacky? I''ve seen the plastic ring sizers, and I''ve also seen some gold plated ring sizers online. I''m wondering if anyone uses these methods? The plastic sizers looked really obvious. The gold plated sizers looked a little less obvious, but you have to use pliers to get the to fit snugly inside of the ring, and I don''t know if I want to do that either, or if that would damage my band. So I guess my question is, are soldered sizing beads really the best way to go, or are there other options that I don''t know about? Thanks guys!

I've got sizing beads recently and I adore them. The thing is, I doubt you'd need to remove them seasonally. They make it so your ring fits a larger range of sizes- like there's room for your finger to expand if you're hot, and if you're cold they grip it a bit and it doesn't spin much even then. FYI, the ring they're in is about 1 3/4 sizes too big- it was unsizable, so I asked my jeweler to stick the beads in it as a last resort- and without the beads, it literally fell off. Now, it doesn't spin much at all even when I'm freezing. I'm very tempted to have all my rings sized like this in the future and have beads added.

The ring with the beads was nearly a 7, and I wear a 5. With the beads it spins a little bit when I'm cold but not much. The size 5 ring I wear as a RHR, which is literally the perfect size for me, a smidge snug even when I'm cold, actually spins more, oddly enough.

something like this?

I saw this old PS thread and see that the product still exists, so might be one to consider?

I tend to have a pretty big fluctuation in finger size between Washington''s slightly humid summers and our icy cold winters. I opted to stack my ring with a band when my finger is skinny, and wear my e-ring by itself when it''s hot. But a temporary sizing bead solution might convince me to size up my e-ring for year round stacking :)
