Thanks to everyone who chimed in in my previous EC search thread. (it was at https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/please-help-me-find-a-beautiful-ec-stone.94650/)
I thought I'd found a winner...and then I started to worry it wouldn't be big enough for the double prong setting I have in mind. So...back to the search. I would love any thoughts on these potential contenders (pictures of each at JA). A couple are SI1, so I would have to confirm eyeclean but pictures look OK. I'm mostly concerned about the p3 angle thing and other cut features that I am not expert enough to see on my own
Thoughts anyone??
1. http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/D-SI1-Premium-Cut-Emerald-Diamond-1086065.asp (just a bad picture? it looks pretty washed out/non-contrasty)
2. http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/E-SI1-Premium-Cut-Emerald-Diamond-1113788.asp
3. http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/G-VS1-Ideal-Cut-Emerald-Diamond-1087411.asp
4. http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/F-VS2-Ideal-Cut-Emerald-Diamond-863259.asp (this one looks really scuffed up, is that just a dirty stone??)
5. http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/F-VS2-Ideal-Cut-Emerald-Diamond-1135359.asp (this one looks like it might not be eyeclean, even though it's a VS2??)
6. http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/D-VS2-Ideal-Cut-Emerald-Diamond-1180657.asp?b=16&a=12&c=77&cid=131 (you guys already told me this one has bad p3 angles...but I'm not sure what that means exactly -- will it look darker in the center because of that? It does seem less expensive than others with its color/clarity so maybe that reflects that problem?...Too bad, I thought the MB florescence sounded fun)
Thank you!!
