Lol I asked the exact same thing about her beads when I saw them :)
They really look like it! Such a great color...sigh. Off to browse tanzanite beads now. I just love that color.

Lol. Even the Burmese sellers were asking if they are very expensive lavender jade. They do look like it from afar or even a few inches of viewing.... :P2 I chose from hundreds of bracelets and took the most pleasant color since there are slight color variations for each bracelet. It’s sort of a vivid but at the same time bordering pastel color. But since tanzanite is highly pleochroic, there’s some color shift going on so it’s a very nice vivid lavender that turns violet and to even the most beautiful cornflower color (the typical, usual flower color, not the trade sapphire cornflower blue).

Wow, your finds are really amazing! The diamond bracelet is so jawdroppingly chic, the hauyne ring is such a pretty blue and the tanzanite beads have made me want something I didn’t know existed, haha! I love these more than lavender jade!

I love that they shift in color! I’ve always been interested in tanzanite, but not in faceted form, ( because I always fear that I’d somehow end up splitting the stones except in necklace form, but I’d want to see the tanzanite while wearing.) These beads are however are a different story! The simplicity, pure soulfulness and raw beauty is amazing.

Oooh, I love the color shift in that tanzanite! And that tourmaline necklace is oh, so pretty. It would go with so many outfits. I used to have one kind of like that made from sea glass, and I wore it until it fell apart.

Those are lovely!! What are you planning to do with them?

No plans yet. I’ve just set a copper-bearing tourmaline with a Mahenge spinel on an enhancer.

@icy_jade.... here is how the enhancer turned out. I forgot to make clear instructions to the goldsmith then went to a different country. I was expecting prong and it was bezel set. The bezel was done properly so I’m keeping it this way.

I usually prefer enhancers (opens at the back) so I have an option to hang it on pearls and beads.

It’s incredibly beautiful. Especially on the beads! And I love the bezel. You will feel more secure. I wouldn’t like my paraiba to fall out of its prongs!

Really love the bezels and the yellow gold. The pear set that way gives it a lovely, fresh levity, which goes with the color combo.

That's an amazing pendant, @Seaglow! It's beautiful on the gold chain and even more amazing on those beaded necklaces :) Will have to remember that enhancer option for future reference.

They are unheated aquamarine beads. Another option I have are with spinel beads.

Really love both! The spinels seem more evening while the aquas seem more light and day time. So many looks possible with this. I can also imagine a thick, doubled chain with it .

While everyone seems busy with fine, heirloom piece emeralds that costs $$$$$, I’m doing a long string of emerald beads with 23K yellow gold beads and findings. The necklace can be worn as a double or triple strand. I’m using tumbled oil-only 161.30 TCW (yes, I bought the beads per carat!) Colombian emerald beads. Usually the Colombian stones made to be beads are the lighter stones...most I would consider green beryl so I decided to buy a strand I would actually classify as emeralds. The strands glows in natural light even though they are included stones. Beside it are some small faceted Zambian emeralds which I decided not to use for this project. So it will be Colombian emerald, and gold beads....maybe some small ruby beads with a natural coloured golden south sea pearl in the middle or maybe a white Australian south sea pearl which I have to take out of a strand. I’m going for this antiquated effect... I’ll string it with a French wire and a pearl string. At the clasp, there is an enamelled pendant so when doing a double strand, the pendant can dangle in front. I’ll post the finish product when it’s done. :)

it glows but I have stones that are more saturated and glow more but they are also more included. This piece is cleaner so I decided to use it. :)

Really beautiful beads. I love the idea! I have an old Indian necklace with pearls, rubies and emerald beads, which is great to wear, so I can well imagine how gorgeous yours will be. There is something both ancient and timeless about beads which is just so unique and beautiful, both visually and in feeling.

Here’s the finished product! In the end I wasn’t able to use all the beads because when beads are sold per carat, the holes are so small and I did a double string.

I used some ruby and amethyst beads amd decided to use a 13.78mm Australian white south sea pearl as center to provide contrast with the gold findings. You can wear it with the pearl at the bottom or on top when in 2-strand, or wear it as opera necklace, or a 3-stand choker necklace. Also, it can be worn like what Jennifer Lawrence did I think at the Oscars, where the length of the necklace is at the back with the pearl resting at the front of the neck.

@Seaglow I couldn't help but notice the clasp on the necklace. Like, you would have to bend the gold in order to unhook the necklace on one side? Is that how you take it on and off? Or do you never have to do so because your strand is long enough to slip over your head?

I'm asking because my late grandfather had a 24k necklace with a clasp like that made for me. I've never felt comfortable wearing it because I'm always afraid the gold, after being bent too many times, would just break, it's so soft. Do you have much experience with wearing necklace clasps like these, and are my fears totally unfounded?
