Scott Kay halo ring advice?

So I''ve tried on the Ritani Endless love halo and I wasn''t a fan of the bezel set stone in that ring. I wasn''t a fan of the actual settting either. I like the way the bezel set looks in photos though... I saw the Tiffany Legacy yesterday but now I''m drawing a blank on if I liked that or not! That ring was WAYYY too expensive for my budget though.

Anyways I saw this Scott Kay ring that I think I like. The ring itself though is pretty darn expensive. Pearlman''s has it online for $4490 but that''s before re-sizing it to accomodate a larger stone (I mailed them about the cost for this..). Anyways I know there are tons of Halo threads out there but what do you halo fans think of this Scott Kay ring? It''s got the prong setting so the stone sits above the ring. I have read opinions about that taking away from the beauty of the diamond etc but I like the way it makes the stone look bigger.

Also how does a ring like this work with a wedding band? Is a 1.5 stone too large for a ring like this?
