I got to see a picture of the split shank Lucida that's coming out late Fall or Spring 2011. Hate to say this. It kills me to say this. The setting makes the diamond look a lot like a Princess cut. Maybe it was the picture, but the "proud, wide corners" that were always the hallmark of Lucida looked thin and pointy in the setting. weird, right? I mean people see your ring and they don't study it. They'd see it in this setting and say, "Oh what a nice Princess cut!". If I were a Lucida owner I wouldn't like having to always explain that it's a Lucida cut not a Princess. Maybe it was the picture. But it just didn't look like Lucida. Ring was beautiful of course! You could though achieve the same look by getting a diamond split shank and dropping a princess cut stone in and save a lot of money. To me, if I'm buying Lucida, I want it to look like Lucida.
