I LOVE Sarah Michelle Gellar's wedding set. Does anyone know who designed it? It looks like a princess cut, but what do you guys think of replacing the centerstone with a chunky squarish cushion? Any recommendations on who can recreate it?

Cathy Waterman designed the ring I think!

I can't tell what is going on with Sarah MG's ring-- it looks like there are metal/diamond segments coming up onto the stone, which is typical of Cathy Waterman. Is that what you like about it? Sort of like this Cathy W ring:

This Cathy W side shot is beautiful.

Her e-ring looks similar to this but without the diagonal sides and with smaller prongs: http://www.twistonline.com/designers-cathy-waterman-love-of-my-life/platinum-diamond-ring-collection-loml-18

I really love the smaller CW diamond prongs; I tried on this ring on a few weeks ago (http://www.twistonline.com/occasion-wedding/white-sapphire-antique-prong-ring) and the prongs are a lot more delicate in real life.

I really like the pix you posted. I know I've seen other designers that have metal up over the top of the stone, but I can't think of who they are right now. If I find any, I'll post them! I assume you are looking for something a lot cheaper than Cathy W? Hopefully someone on here knows of someone who custom make a ring like that for you. I would venture to say that if you really want that sort of design, you might not be happy with anything but a Cathy W, unfortunately.

Sixbillionstars, are you getting one of her rings?

Thanks for all the responses. I was thinking it might be Cathy Waterman. How much do her rings usually go for? I looked at the links and some don't list prices (definitely a bad sign  ). I'm sure it's even more for a custom job, if she even does it. I guess I just like the uniqueness of the set as a whole...the scroll style mismatched band, the diamond prongs (which I don't usually find attractive, but it seems to work here)

Sixbillionstars, I had seen pictures of that oval ring too! It was all part of my fascination with E/W set ovals after seeing the Time Travelers Wife movie. But I've kind of given up on finding a nice cut chunky oval :(

I really love her designs but according to the SA at Twist, she doesn't set customer stones. I would LOVE to see an antique oval or cushion in one of her settings...but that would definitely be out of my budget! And I haven't really liked the stones (raw diamonds) she uses except for the clear rose cuts. I've been considering getting one of her 22k bands though.

Have you taken a look at 23rd Street Jewelers (http://www.23rdstreetjewelers.com/)- I think they could make a custom setting with a similar vibe. Check out: http://www.23rdstreetjewelers.com/images/Rings/SMR3749.jpg

Pretty ring set, but hard to see the details-so I googled it and couldn't find any info on who made it! What I did find is that it is a 3 ct. princess cut and they are dragonflies below the diamond. Wonder if they meant on all four sides? I would recommend Mike R. (Robinson Jewelers) in New Zealand to recreate something like that. His skill is unbelievable!!

I am wowed by this one in particular: http://www.ylang23.com/shop_prodDetail.cfm?ShopBy=Designers&DesignerID=1&CurrentPage=2&ItemID=35969

I know! My dream stone is a chunky oval.........but I think I'll need a lot more patience and luck to find one!

It is absolutely a Cathy Waterman. It's been published in InStyle/InStyle WEddings among others. It was either a radiant or princess cut in a "dragonfly" mounting that she's "famous" for. The prong things come up and over well into the stone, are millegrained and have melee in them, though it leaves the corners of the stone exposed...which to me is so weird. The band is one of her leaves style bands with melee.

I KNOW I have the article somewhere, I would have to go through all my InStyle/InStyle wedding mags to find it. I think in the celebrity ring thread there MIGHT be a good shot of it.

Cathy Watermans are so beautiful i used to lust after the morganite and kunzite rings , they are pricey but so beautiful , If you get one please post a disgusting amount of ring ****. :)
