Hello! I'm a newbie who's been stalking for a while, and I've read some other threads about buying (relatively inexpensive) sapphires. I'm thinking something like $600-800, which would leave a little left over in our e ring budget for an either three-stone or solitaire setting (and I'd be very happy going lower if a lab-grown seems like the best bet). My boyfriend is red-green colorblind, so he's definitely not interested in getting involved in the whole process of choosing a loose gem...
I'm looking for a round cut 5-6mm medium blue sapphire (if I had to pick between blue-purple and blue-green, I'd go with purple) and care more about color than cut, as long as it sparkles some. I don't have any preferences as regards treatment, and I'd also be open to lab-grown gems. The previous threads have been really helpful!
Here are some of the gems I've been looking at based on them:

I'm not sure how much the color of the setting affects the stone, but I'd be interested in getting a yellow gold setting (I'd originally thought white gold, but it turns out yellow looks great on my skin...)
Thanks everyone! I'd really appreciate any thoughts you have on this pretty limited student budget
