Sapphire eternity band help

Thinking of adding a sapphire eternity band & considering 2 options. Would love any input on sparkle, style, etc. My HPD diamond is shown in 2nd photo.

1. Vintage French cut eternity band - platinum, 3mm
2. New round stone eternity band - 18kwg, 3mm

Which one? Or skip? Or other idea?

Hands down-- I would go for the French cut. The way french cuts shimmer in the light...

I appreciate you taking the time to reply...I'm not well versed in vintage jewelry so truly didn't know if it would seem lackluster compared to the new band w/round sapphires. But, I stumbled across a photo of yours and thought it was gorgeous! I also wasn't sure it would pair well w/my solitaire and diamond eternity band. I am thrilled you replied! Thank you so much!!

Sorry but Im not a huge fan of vintage so I'll go with the rounds.
