Sapphire and Diamond Necklace

I don''t usually post over here, but I recently received something that I think fits in with the coloured stone group!! Our engagement party was this weekend, and my FI''s parents gave me this necklace as a welcome to the family gift - they said it is an Italian tradition that when your son gets engaged to get the bride to be a piece of jewellery.

I like that kind of tradition

Nope actually it isn''t! They got it from a jewellery store -- however I have a feeling it will become an heirloom!!

Thanks everyone! I was totally shocked when I opened it - it was definitely NOT expected!! It is the combination of my two loves (as far as jewellery goes!) - sapphires and diamonds. I have a shared prong ring with sapphires and diamonds that I love, so now I have a matching necklace!

I feel very lucky - moreso because I finally feel welcome by my soon to be inlaws.
