I'm trying to move ahead in pulling the trigger on this stone, but have the last-minute jitters.
It's a 1.70 carat I-VS1. It's intended as center stone in a 3-stone engagement ring. The side stones are .32 carat round I/J-VS2 stud earrings that my gf inherited from her grandmother years ago. Sorry that I don't have a good picture of them. I had been looking in the 1.5 carat range, but my intended liked the proportions of the slightly larger stones that we looked at with her grandmother's earrings.
I've been working with Martin Sheffield at USA Certed. I had initially identified and viewed this stone in person through JA, but it also popped up on a list of diamonds from Martin, too. Budget is $11k for the stone. It was about $1,100 over budget at JA, but Martin has offered it for $10,400, about $1,700 less than the JA's listing of $12,080.
HCA Score: 1.1

I had a great feeling about it in person. It's said that certain stones "speak" to you. I'm just looking for a last bit of assurance that it's okay to trust that voice.
Thank you.
