Thanks Rosetta! I agree and had then designed "short" enuf for daywear (I have this belief the longer they are the more "dramatic" and fhence "night time" they become...), yet they do easily transition. I love that they move with me... Sadly no ear shots.....

I have been searching for stones for some time--and contacted Dery but his stones were larger than I wanted for earrings (5 carats each)....

I went to my favorite place in town who does all my custom work--and asked them to source some stones; oval preference. They got in two pair and I choose these. I cannot recall the origin; but are more included then the other pair I compared them to, but the color and cut were superior on these. They are just over 3 carats each...

As for the design, I asked for earrings that were light and would articulate. Not too "long". I wanted the stones to look like they were floating on my ears--hence I asked for the oval gold shape to be bevelled. The shop is called "The Goldsmith's" and their work is sublime.

They set my yellow sapphire and demantoids last year in a ring; redid a bracelet for me that I inherited, reset my diamond bangle that imploded, made an etoile ring, made my blue sapphire ring and many pair of earrings....the list goes on. I love their work and if I didn't have so much trouble uploading pics here, I'd post more!

Thank you! You are correct--I stated oval shape but meant navette as I wanted the end of the earrings to "point" and be less rounded....

Gotcha--the long curved hook prevents them from being upended while removing coats/sweaters--while adding to the overall aesthetic. They are easy for sure. Thanks!!

hmmm, I think we can work something out

None of the snow/sleet stuck (is that the right word?) on the ground. It was all gone by morning happily!
We came back to NYC last night and we actually have more snow here than at our beach house in NJ LOL
