Rounded corners on cushion cut vs. more square

I came across a 2.54 carat cushion cut that I really like. I was ready to purchase it but then I noticed that the corners are more rounded than some of the other ones I was considering. I had a few concerns as a result. One is that it seems I lose some of the spread of the diamond. Two, I didn't want it to look too oval/round. Three, I prefer a more squared off corner look. I guess my questions are am I overthinking this and will the setting (prongs) make this diamond appear to have more squared corners anyway? The setting will be a simple thin pave band (no halo). Below I superimposed an almost exact same rounded corner cushion cut over a more square corner cushion I was looking at.

Prongs can definitely help square it off. I have double claw prongs on a MRB and it has been mistaken for a cushion. Avatar pic for reference.

I prefer the more rounded corners, personally. But if this is for yourself, you should get what you like best, of course.

It's for my girlfriend, soon to be fiancé. I think she might prefer the same but I'm not 100% sure. I just wanted to see if others thought the setting would make it look more squared off anyway.

My opinion - more squared corners if cushion shape is more rectangular (larger aspect ratio), and more rounded corners if shape is more square (aspect ratio close to 1.0).
On the example picture I like more the squared corners vs the rounded.

Regardless of the corners, the number one factor is how well the cushions are cut. As in, do they have well defined facet patterns?
