Hi everyone, I have been learning about diamonds on this site and decided to ask for some recommendations. I am looking for a round brilliant diamond, at least 1 full carat, eye clean with good color and clarity (thinking F color and VS1 clarity) and excellent cut. Would also be nice to have little to no fluorescence and a GIA cert. I want it to be sparkly and clear and will want to put it in a platinum halo setting.
I am also in Canada and would need it shipped here and will pay in CDN. Any good picks out there?
Thank you in advance!

What is your budget in usd, excluding taxes or conversion costs? Ha's the Weare looked at diamonds and found to be color sensitive? Some can see D vs. G, but not all. Can you describe what setting you have in mind?

Hi there! A few questions:
1. What is your budget?
2. What is the timing by which you want to purchase the stone?
2. Are you looking for a branded superideal cut vs. a well-cut well-performing ideal specs stone?
3. You say "good" color and clarity and so I wonder if you have seen stones in person to understand whether F and VS1 are your preferred specs? If so - great! If not, many prosumers are very satisfied by eye clean VS2 and SI1 stones and near-colorless G and H colors - which can be very budget friendly.

I would say around $7000 to $9000 USD, we looked at diamonds yes and found G to be acceptable, just kinda wanted to push for F if I could. And for the setting, a platinum halo style with pave down the sides.

1. 7000 - 9000 USD
2. Ideally would like to have it before February.
3. Just a well performing stone.
4. I prefer F and VS1 although could be convinced to go with G and VS2

Is your budget for the stone alone, or including the halo setting?
