Round diamond Cut?

My husband bought me this necklace and i was thinking of either returning for an eternity band or resetting. What do we think about the cut. Here are a couple pics in different lighting. Ring of death?

Doesn't appear to have R.O.D. but maybe a bit dark at the upper girdle facets and/or bezel facets...hard to judge.
