Your opening post says you bought the JA stone about 2 years ago ... have you doublechecked your actual purchase date? The JA buy-back is valid for just 2 years from date of purchase (or is it date of receipt); I'd hate for you to miss out on the buy-back option because you mis-remembered your purchase date.
I took a look at JA's range of stones from 1.60-1.69ct H-VS1, Excellent Polish, Excellent Symmetry, depth no greater than 62.3%... only 5 stones came up, with prices ranging from $13,300-$15,240. Based on the above, If I were in the market for a stone with specs similar to yours, I'd probably pop for a new JA stone so I'd have the return/upgrade/buyback privileges.
If I were you, I'd first confirm the last valid date of your two-year buy-back option, and clarify whether JA must receive your diamond in hand by that date, or if you must notify them you are exercising the option by that date. Once you know that date, you can decide whether/how long you want to wait to give your DiamondBistro listing a chance.
Don't forget to figure in shipping costs - JA likely would charge you the FedEx shipping charge to return the diamond to them, but they'd provide you with a pre-paid shipping label with insurance covered at their end. If you were to sell the diamond on DiamondBistro, USPS shipping costs (with insurance) would be expensive, and FedEx/UPS I think aren't options as they won't ship loose diamonds for non-businesses.
