First let me say that I don''t expect anything exact or perfectly correct in response to my question. I''d just like to get a rough idea of what I have and am a little too broke (recovering from college) to pay for an appraisal.

When I was on a cruise this past January, I purchased 2 rings. One is a channel set tanzanite and diamond ring, with 4 tanz and 3 dia in white gold. When this ring is on it''s own (not worn next to the other one), the diamond look white, but perhaps ever so slightly "warm".

The other ring is a shared prong set sapphire and diamond ring, also in white gold, with 3 sapp and 2 dia. These stones look WHITE. They even put the white gold to shame.

When the tanzie ring and the sapp ring are worn next to each other (as I often wear them), the diamonds in the tanzie ring are obviously (well, to me at least) a lower color grade.

Based on this little bit of info, what would you experts roughly guess the color of these diamonds are?

That is impossible to answer without seeing them. Next to whiter diamonds they could be anywhere from H to K assuming the whiter ones are D-G. Remember cut makes a difference too in how they look.

I don't think the cut of the stones in either of the rings is really that great as there is almost no color in any of them no matter what kind of light I view them under.

Like I said, I'm not looking for anything exact and I know it's near impossible to get a good idea without being able to see the stones, but I was just curious as to what a range would be for them

Thank you!

They sound like promotional quality TLB (top light brown).
