Rose Gold or Plat Tacori w/ G Diamond?

I spent weeks of reasearch on the diamond I picked out finally!! I decided on a Lazare Kaplan. It is G in color. From the side it looks light yellow to me.

I love Tacori 2616 for the setting. I love rose gold.

Would getting a rose gold 2616 make a G diamond look MORE or LESS yellow?

Ummm... A G color diamond looks yellow from the side to you? What lab graded the diamond? That seems very unlikely.

Then I am very surprised! What color was the room you were in when you were viewing the diamond? A correctly graded G color diamond will not show any yellow. True, if put next to a D color diamond you may detect that it is not as starly *white*, but it is still not yellow.

I am glad you all say that because I was very suprised myself. I am thinking that since the sales rep. was sitting behind it when I was inspecting it that it was her shirt that was making it look yellow. She had a black shirt with gold shiny flowers all over it.

Even so, what about the rose gold setting? Does that make a stone look more yellow anyways?

I think it the stone is a G colour - rose gold shouldn''t make it look yellow!
