For the last 8 months, I have done nothing but obsess over diamonds and settings. And now, my ring is finally complete and I am yet another extremely satisfied ERD customer. Chris Anadiotis and I first met on a Saturday in February when he came into Manhattan from New Jersey on one of his days off to show me some antique cushion cut stones. He let me sit there for nearly 3 hours just looking at stones over and over and never expressed any impatience or urgency to get out of there. That patience was tested again and again as he and I exchanged more than 100 emails over the last 8 months.
I'm absolutely blown away by the level of service, quality, and general experience with ERD, and Chris specifically. He's a straight shooter but applies no pressure and I felt as though I could trust him completely. At one point, I even asked him if he thought I should consider a different, larger, and more expensive stone that id seen on their site instead of the one he reserved for me, and he said that based on my stated preferences, he'd recommend I stick with the stone I had reserved, even though it was $2k cheaper than the other one I was inquiring about. That really impressed me. So, two thumbs way up when it comes to Chris and ERD!!!!
I'm including some images that show the entire process start to finish. Started with me sending him my own hand drawn settings, along with a slew of other images I found of settings my girlfriend liked for inspiration. Then he sent over a few cads, I made some modification requests (with help from a few PSers - thanks!) and he sent a revised version. And last but not least, the images of the real deal: a 1.57ct H-VS1 antique cushion cut set in a 14k rose gold halo with a platinum split shank. I'm planning to ask her dad's permission while on vacation over Labor Day, and assuming he says yes (fingers crossed), pop the question 2 weeks later. Ill let y'all know what happens and take some pics on her hand and of the ring in my possession once I have it!
