Rose Gold DanielM Spinel Ring

I purchased this 3 carat Burma spinel from Dana Reynolds (Mastercut Gems) a few months ago. Here are some unset pictures.

First I contacted DanielM for a quote, but thought I wanted to do something with diamonds. Then I bought a LOGR but despite it being advertised for an 8mm stone, it was too large. A jeweler measured my stone at 8.2 x 8.3 mm. So I returned the LOGR setting and they were very nice about it. Then I tried to have a simple setting made locally, but that guy wanted twice what DanielM did. So off to DanielM my stone went. Some of Caren's pictures.

It is so pretty in the rose gold. I do not like yellow gold...but the rose gold is the perfect setting for the spinel.

And thanks to hotpozzum (I think) who came up with this ring design (it is called Liv's blue topaz ring in the DanielM store).

That is beautiful in rose gold! I love the double claw!!! Will DanielM work with diamonds? I believe I have seen some of his pendants with diamonds but I could be wrong.

Yes, he does work with diamonds. I just thought it would be quicker and easier to get a LOGR.

Daniel M did a great job setting it, and I love the double prongs on a cushion like that. The gold color is also lovely as well. Is it 18K or 14K? I don't recall, but it's a nice alloy (not too coppery).

Really lovely! I love the shape that setting with those kind of baskets (leon-ish but also daniel m-ish) look with stones with larger stones.

KaeKae, thank you & it is a color shift spinel. I used to have the details but they were written on the package I sent to DanielM and I forgot to write them down. The stone is extrememly flourescent, so it looks different outside in UV lights.
