It's finally on my hand!! Woo hoo!
So I bought this from a less than reputable jeweler, but this ring really spoke to me so I took a gamble. The seller stated it as the following:
Genuine antique ring with a 3.36ct sapphire with .50cts of surrounding OEC diamonds in E-F color and VS2-SI2 clarity.
The reality of the ring:
Reproduction antique ring, centered with a 2.50ct blue cabachon natural sapphire heat only. OEC diamonds totaling .36cts G-H in color and SI1-I1 clarity.
So definitely some major discrepancies, but considering what I paid I don't feel ripped off and am choosing to keep my new ring. I LOVE it and it's my son's birth stone, and I already had it inscribed. It was set in 9k rose gold, but it looked too coppery for my taste so my jeweler had it sized with 14k rose gold which calmed the copper quite a bit.
**For other buyers please beware you may not get what's advertised from estatejewelrybymichael on eBay. Definitely good deals price wise, but you get what you pay for.
