Hey Team does anybody wear a Rose Cut Diamond Ring on a regular basis??
I am eyeing an antique Victorian 1.50 carat solitaire but have never owned a Rosie and don’t know if it will simply curl up and refuse to shimmer after even one hand wash!?
I know Rosie’s have a totally different sparkle and I’m ok with that and attracted to their modest glow.
I just want to know how they behave with real wear.
Anybody?!

I own 4, and I'm still undecided! :lol-2:

They do dirty quickly. Definitely a huge down-side. But I really appreciate their charm, and that they're still rather unique in today's diamond landscape.

@lala646 can we see them? Are they in a thread?

I had one and quickly grew tired of it being constantly dirty lol. You need to clean it frequently! And then because of all that cleaning it needed to be rhodium plated again. I have given this to my mum now who wears it occasionally. It's not an everyday wear. MVIMG_20180311_185152.jpg

I have had a few rose cut rings. I have one I think now. They do tend to get dirty easily. However, they are very pretty. It's kind of like an emerald or other step cut in that if it's dirty it is not going to look great.

I love rose cuts. They have a shimmer that is so pretty. My rose cut has a new owner from PS. This is the ring. I cleaned it daily so it was generally OK. I took it off for lotion etc. I clean my OEC stones as often as I did the rose cut. I have had a lot of rose cuts but this one was my favorite. I think they are not for everyone.

This is my rose cut. Agree with previous posters that they tend to show more prints or dirt than the traditional round cut and that they are not for everyone but I absolutely adore mine. The sparkle, to me, is erethral and so mesmerizing- glistening like water in the most beautiful way. I think if you like old cuts you'll appreciate a rose cut. I don't wear my rose cut daily, more because of the halo setting it's in than because it's a rose cut, but I haven't had an issue of the rose cut refusing to shine after one hand wash. I think because they are not a deep cut, they are also great for everyday wear since they can be set fairly low. Do let us know if you decide to pull the trigger on the rose cut you're eye and share lots of pictures!

I've been test wearing one I purchased for my shop and it does tend to show spots more easily. Luckily it is open back so very easily cleaned but when it gets a spa treatment she shines brilliantly. I hadn't been a huge fan of rose cuts before this one but I've been enjoying it. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

This is also a favorite of mine. Do you feel you have to clean her often?

Yes, undoubtedly. But I just keep a soft toothbrush in my bathroom cabinet so she gets a swipe pretty much everyday. Not a big deal for me, but it is very evident if I forget.

I just bought one for a ring I am remodelling. I have been entranced for a couple of years, but just now got around to pulling the trigger. IMG_7446.png

I wore a toi et moi made with moissy rose cuts for a few years before I had them remade into earrings. They do get grubby easily but equally they clean up just as quickly - I found they would be sparkly enough if I just gave them a good polish with a cloth. So they were pretty easy for daily wear.
