Can someone tell me where I can take my rose cut diamond to have it reset in the "foil-back"
setting? The stone is beautiful, I believe it is a portrait shaped rose cut.
It is flat like a pancake, and approximately .97.
Right now, it is set in a 1960''s foil back setting, but you can see that the foil has tarnished?
It isn''t very pretty up close. I learned you are not to submerge rose cut diamonds, with foil backing
in water.
If noone can suggest where I can take it to reback with foil, I was wondering about resetting
in a halo setting for a more modern day look.
The stone is transparent, but very white and looks beautiful from a distance, like glass.
