The sapphires are basically clear/silver. they both have little blue areas that mix all over; from some angles they completely color the stones from others they disappear entirely! the newest one has a yellow center but in the center of that is a triangular core that in itself is sometimes blue and sometimes clear. Probably there is more to these chimera stones that I have yet to notice. They are .93 and 1.04 carats.
The spinel is .58 carat and a delicate lavender purple that also goes from deep and dark to light and ephemeral. it is 7.6 mm x 3.5.
Do you think it totally crazy to use the small stone as the center and flank it with largers?
It does seem counter-intuitive to me, yet with these it seems so right.
Yes Indy, as a ring. I''m glad you think it could work too. I really haven''t figured itout yet but that''s what I am aiming for. Both sapphires are from Finewater, and the spinel is a Toracca!
