Ritani stone 2.15 ct arrived- pics- thoughts?

Hi! My stone arrived! It had a little delay. How do you think it looks, esp @DejaWiz and @Kim N who helped me find it ! I am not sure the picture is good and there is no sun or trees with leaves where I am currently- everything is actually covered in snow. Let me know if there is different lighting etc I could try.

It looks beautiful! You captured the arrows really well. Another way to get a great photo of the facets is to set it on a windowsill facing you with the natural light coming through the window.

What do you think of its performance?

Thanks for that tip @Kim N ! I tried it- it’s getting late in the evening so not much light coming through but here’s how it looks. I like it so far! Looking forward to seeing it during more light tomorrow

Do you have any overhead LED bulbs anywhere in your house so that you can try and bring out the fire?

That’s a little trickier to capture! Is that normal for fire to be hard to capture? I see it but under the (phone) lens it disappears. Here’s the best I got so far- the light might not be led either not sure.

I think I like it! I feel like a sunny day would be even more helpful to tell, maybe I’m wrong about that and I just need to go to Costco but I like it enough and it was such a deal that I think I’m going to send it out to IDJ to get set in the u113 and I’ll wear it and enjoy it! I figure this is a learning process anyway- if I can capture more photos before I mail it out or once it’s set, I will post! Thank you both @Kim N and @DejaWiz for your advice and help picking out this pretty stone that was a great deal

I can't get good photos with my iphone. It doesn't capture the flashes well. But, a video in my bathroom - now that works great. When you take a video you can move the diamond around and it will pick up the light.

Don't forget, a well-cut diamond will go disappointingly dark in the sunshine. Please rest assured if this happens to you, it is a good sign! It looks great and YES, the wonderful colored sparkles look different to our eyes than our camera. A trick I use to highlight the look of diamonds is what I used on my profile.

I face into the sunshine and let the sunshine beam just hit a little of the stone from over my hands, lighting it up the diamond within for the camera. Be warned however, any fingerprints will also be highlighted .

Thank you everyone for your help and thoughts! I’ve sent my diamond to Yekutiel to be set in the U113 and will come back to post photos once it is here. I miss it already and can’t wait to have it back!
