I was set on the White Flash Legato Micro Pave for $1500-10% for the platinum, but I just now learned of the Ritani Endless Love, but it is $1800 for white gold and $2390 (!!) for platinum.

$2390 is not affordable but $1800 sort of is.. sort of.

Would you choose the Legato Micro Pave in platinum for ~$1350, or the Ritani Endless Love pave on 18k white gold for $1800.

The kicker, I guess, is that the Ritani is available from Good Old Gold, who also have more of a selection of diamonds right now, and I''d like to order everything from one place. The Ritani is also the closest thing Good Old Gold has to the WF Legato.

Thanks.

Do you have any pictures to help me choose one of these BEAUTIFUL rings?
I love pave so any chance to drool over it, I''ll take it!

Sure!

Ritani... hmm.. maybe it''s not this, as I''ve heard that it doesn''t come without a Ritani center diamond. Here''s the pic I was sent by Marie at GOG:

Those two were in my top contenders for a setting! Bril, that beats a lot of price quotes I got for the Ritani!!

Keep in mind that you''ll probably have to add in the cost of the matching band, which also varies a bit. Are both settings still options if you add that in? WF and GOG will set a stone in someone else''s setting for a fee, but the stone comes with free shipping. I''d get the stone you want with the setting you want!

Here is Mara''s thread with great pictures of the Ritani: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/stunning-1-60-k-vs-aca-in-ritani-setting.47645/

Here is cinnamon013''s ring with pictures of the Legato pave: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/my-new-ring-micro-pave-band-with-831-aca-stone.61478/

Also, a very informative link with differences between the two: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/whiteflash-legato-micro-pave.62564/

Personally I prefer how the Ritani head is integrated into the band v. the legato head which is just sort of plopped onto the band.

...but that is a very small nit-picky difference! Is it worth considering the cost of the matching wedding bands in the decision?

Thanks Sabrina, that''s super helpful.

Is the wedding band supposed to be purchased right along side at the same time, or can I get it later? Can''t afford both now...

Oh, and just responding to your last post, it looks like Mara''s friend purchased the stone from Whiteflash, the setting from Bailey, Banks and Biddle and had Whiteflash do the setting job.

Those prongs in the Ritani picture you posted look a lot bigger than the ones in my link!

wow the ritani has seriously gone up, when my friend got hers last year at BBB in platinum i think she paid like 1600.

You can definitely get them separately!

May I ask what size is the stone that will be going into it and your finger size?

I called a bunch of toll free numbers and I only found quotes in the ballpark that Brilyant had, sometimes more!! If it''s gone up that much, that''s nuts!!! I did hear that if the ring was in a previously stocked setting, like your friend''s in the display case, it may have been purchased at a different price than if it were to be currently ordered in a custom size. But a price jump of almost 50%??!!?

I''m actually the BF... heh.

My gf wears a size 6 ring. She''s pretty short and has small hands, too. Hmm.. maybe that isn''t the Endless Love then. I should confirm with Marie...

The one you posted is in the Endless Love line. It''s the one without the halo around the center stone.

Do you know which your girl prefers? If she has delicate hands or the stone is around a half carat, I hear the Ritani has a more delicate look to it. If she does rough work with her hands, the Legato might be better.

I was talking to WF, comparing the Harmony and Legato pave styles in a 2 mm band and was told the holes drilled into the Harmony at 2 mm would make the band weaker than the Legato, so they sell it in a 2.3 mm size. The Legato has the stones set into the band, whereas the Ritani has stones that sit in holes drilled through. Does that make a difference to you?

I agree with Mercoledi (which by the way - are you Italian Mercoledi?)

I like the head/basket of the Ritani.

Good Luck!

pearlmans carries ritani and is offering a 15% off giftcard redeemable right away, so you might call them for a quote on the setting as well. personally, i prefer the ritani if you can find a way to squeeze it into your budget..

I like the WF Harmony setting the best, but my gf thinks it''s too heavy looking and the diamonds in the pave are too much. She likes the more dainty Legato. Now I think I prefer the Ritani as well... but it''s quite a bit more.

Hmmm...

i just confirmed with her and she paid 1700 for the e-ring and 1850 for the band (it went up because she waited to buy the band), so i guess stuff has gone up!

Sounds like an easy decision to me. She prefers the Legato and it costs less. Frankly, I always prefer wedding sets that will sit flush, and the Legato appears that it will along with its matching wedding band.

Now, to find the center diamond.....

ETA: Go for the platinum. Much easier upkeep, and soooo classy. You won't regret it.

Does Pearlman''s offer this is white gold, or just the $2390 platinum?

Pearlmans will order whatever you want from Ritani. So I''m sure they can get the setting in white gold.

I asked WF if they could custom make the Harmony to be smaller, like the Legato, and that''s where the discussions on ring strength started from.

The BBB quote I got was nowhere near that, Mara!!

Lucky girl!!

yes, they can get it for you in WG, no problem..

Thank you all!

Just when I thought I had the diamond and setting wrapped up, I''m back to square 2 or so... heh. There was something lingering in my mind about not going for the first thing that I liked...

Brilyant... if budget is an issue, I would go with the Legato. My setting is a pave shank with basket head in palladium from Knox. I can tell you that it was VERY affordable and very well made. It can also be made in 18K WG or plat. Here is a link to the thread about my setting:

https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/i-love-my-new-setting.63020/

And a link to the setting itself...

http://www.knoxjewelers.biz/index.htm?crn=263&rn=849&action=show_detail

My setting is very delicate. The shank is 2mm wide. I loved the Legato With Pave AND the Ritani but wanted my setting to be palladium. So, I needed to work with someone who worked with it!
