I am recently very very very interested in Ritani''s endless love collection. anyone that has an endless love ring would you please tell me how you like it (or not) and why.... and if it''s not too much, a pic or two? thanks!!

Leslie

if you search Ritani endless love you''ll find a bunch of threads with pics. there are several owners on this board. Ritani makes a very durable pave ring and although I don''t have one it was one of mt final contenders for my upgrade. i think it''s a beautiful, classic setting.

Hi!

I have the Endless Love setting without the halo and I must be the only one with problems with it.... Still, I love the setting, better than any other and I''d still do it all over again if I had the choice. My FI chose it and it''s the perfect setting for me.

My first concern was the prong size. Seeing all the gorgeous pictures on PS, I can''t understand why mine looks so chunky, or as the jeweller calls it, "secure".

There is an option to have it sent back to Ritani to have the prongs shaved back, but only on the top part of the basket. I stil haven''t done it yet because I''m worried what that might do to the continuity of the prongs from the side view. I don''t want it to go from thick to thin at the top.

It''s probably not that noticible to the casual observer, but it jumps out at me. All I see when I look at my ring is prong, prong, prong (and prong)! This is a link to a picture: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/replacing-thick-ritani-prongs.79845/

My second problem arose within a few weeks of having the setting. One of the stones in the pave had turned brown. It''s very obvious. My jeweller said he has seen it before and it''s not just a problem in Ritani rings. Again, here''s the link (but no pictures yet): https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/brown-pave-in-ritani.78204/

In both cases, he''s very willing to ship it back to Ritani and get the problems fixed. I haven''t done it yet because I don''t live in the US, but I probably will eventually.

Other than that, it''s comfortable, the wedding band sits flush (I only tried it on once) and I hear Ritani does ring sizing in 1/8" increments. AND it''s gorgeous.

If you get it and it turns out perfect, I''ll be jealous (and first in line to drool over it)!

Good luck with your decision!

sabrina, just curious, did ritani set your stone or your jeweler do it?

your jeweler is also correct about a pave stone turning. gypsy recently had one crack in her custom ring, kaleigh had one turn brown in her quest ring, pauly had one turn in his greenlake custom ring..it happens, just goes with the pave territory. it is a bummer that you are overseas so it''s not as easy to get these things fixed but I would eventally send the ring to ritani to rework the prongs and fix the brown stone. you should be 100% happy with your ring and my guess is Ritani wants you to be too.

The jeweller sent the stone to Ritani to have it set. If I''m not mistaken, it''s the same jeweller who did your ring. I''m not quite overseas, just across the border in Canada, but it makes all the difference to customs! It''s about a six hour or more long drive to the jeweller and FI and I can''t make it with all the wedding planning right now. Eventually, I would like to go and get it fixed.

Do you think Ritani could do a good job of thinning the prongs slightly without ruining the side view and keeping the prongs evenly spaced?

Leslie, so sorry to hijack your thread.

I have the Ritani Endless Love w/ halo. I love it. It sits very low and is very comfortable to wear on a daily basis. Also, the pave is very well-made and I have had no problems cleaning it in the ultrasonic as needed.

Sabrina - I would talk to your jeweler and most definitely, if anyone is going to work on the ring, it should be the manufacturer. I''m positive they will want to make you happy and will do a good job of thinning out the prongs to your satisfaction, while keeping the prongs evenly spaced.

Good luck! Sorry the ring wasn''t 100% perfect from the get-go, but no worries, these things are fixable!

Sabrina,

My Ritani's prongs looked just as "chunky" as yours IMO. To answer your other thread, YES size can make a huge difference in how the prongs look. Just make sure that Ritani does the shaving as you wouldn't want some idiot to do it and for you to lose your stone!

And HAPPY,

I had a mishap with my old ritani (my fault), so I no longer have it but I can tell you that it was an extremely sturdy piece for something so thin and delicate. Very beautiful too!

Thanks for everyone''s input! i will definitely take it into consideration! sabrina, dont worry about it, i like to read about everyones stories anyway! just one more question if you dont mind telling me... the price range... of the band and possibly wedding set without the center stone? i have looked but i cannot find. thanks!

The prices are listed on pearlmans website and also solomon brothers. last i checked pearlmans was a bit less expensive.

Definitely! No one should touch a Ritani except for Ritani! I think I''d probably loose sleep at night if it went to anyone else....

Thanks guys, for easing my worries about the prongs.

My jeweller did say he could do simple sizing (small increments) or add sizing beads, etc., but he did try to discourage me from having the prongs altered because it may compromise the security of the stone. He related a few stories to me of how some poor ladies lost their stone. For certain cases though, it doesn''t seem to depend on how thick the prongs are, some people are just rough! It does add to my insecurities about handing over my ring!!

I called all the toll-free numbers I could find in Michigan, Florida and Canada with jewellers that carried Ritani. The lowest price I could find was Pearlmans. Give them a call as prices have changed now with the rise of platinum. My price was from last November and I believe the cost is skyrocketing!

I have the ritani endless love without pave. My stone is about 1.5, I think. I love it! My prongs are definitely not chunky, and I get lots of compliments on it. My ring looks pretty much exactly like the famous "Mara''s friend''s ring", though I think my finger is a little smaller.

I''ve had it for about 1.5 years now and I definitely do not baby it at all. I''m not abusive, but I do wear it to the gym, wear it washing dishes and cleaning the house, etc. So far, I haven''t had any loose stones or lost any pave. I don''t put it in an ultrasonic cleaner, but mainly because I don''t have one. It does need a good polishing, as I think any platinum will need after 1.5 years. I''m planning to get it done before the wedding so it will match my new wedding band!

I don''t remember what we paid, but we bought both stone and setting from Pearlmans. I remember that it was very reasonable for a brand name pave setting.
