I thought this product could be helpful for us bling lovers who cannot always easily get our rings off to do activities not recommended with them on. Just thought I would share.

You're welcome. I'm ordering one right now too :)

Re: Ring wrapper for those of us with swollen knuckle proble

I just ordered 3. 1 for me and 1 for my future daughter in law and 1 for her mom. What a great idea. It will be great for the gym. I have huge knuckles and it is a fight to get my ring off in the morning. I can't wait to get them. Thanks again for posting this product!!

Re: Ring wrapper for those of us with swollen knuckle proble

Y'all come back later and tell us how they work!

Re: Ring wrapper for those of us with swollen knuckle proble

Hmmm. Interesting. I'm trying to imagine actually using it though. I guess I feel that it would be easier, or at least as easy just to remove my ring. I suppose there is value if you happen to be someplace where it could be unsafe to take your rings off for fear of loss or theft, someone mentioned the gym, but then I wouldn't wear my rings to the gym ( who am I kidding I haven't been to the gym in a year! )....but if I forgot to remove them, then I think something like this could be helpful.

I'm interested in hearing what you all think of them when you receive them! Please post about your experience, because I'm still on the fence! =)

Re: Ring wrapper for those of us with swollen knuckle proble

Hi Christina,
I will definitely report back about the ring guard. I don't have the luxury of taking my rings off every time I do something as my knuckles are large and the ring area of my finger is small. If I buy a ring large enough to get over the knuckles comfortably, it spins like a merry go round. So I have to buy smaller as to not spin and squeeze the rings over the knuckle. In the morning, I can't even think about removing or putting any ring on at all.
So, we'll see how this works. I have tried sizing "balls" but I find them uncomfortable.

I can totally appreciate that. My Gram had a horrible time with her knuckles and wearing rings. Sizing balls didn't appeal to her either. Eventually her jeweler cut her shank and inserted a joint type clasp thing that would open and then close around her finger. The only way that she could remove the ring was to open the joint. It's really hard to explain and I have never seen another but it works really well for her. Hopefully someone here will know what it is that I'm talking about and know the official term for it.

Re: Ring wrapper for those of us with swollen knuckle proble

FINALLY! A halo for my entire ring! :appl:

My ring will look so big now! :appl:

Re: Ring wrapper for those of us with swollen knuckle proble

Oh Kenny.... It also comes in various colours too so if you feel like a blue diamond today, grab the blue wrapper for the day.

Re: Ring wrapper for those of us with swollen knuckle proble

Christina,
I have a colleague who had a hinge placed in her ring shank as well. I have considered that. It's an interesting concept for sure. Thank you for recommending that. However, my co worker has demonstrated how difficult it can be for her to open it up alone and her shank is much wider than mine, so I have resisted thus far. My shank is much thinner and I don't care for the local jeweler who installed it for her as he did not impress me years ago with his work.
Hopefully this product will do the trick. But I will investigate the stuller rings linked above by Rhea. Thanks Rhea!

Re: Ring wrapper for those of us with swollen knuckle proble

Just ordered mine. This will be great so I don't keep poking holes in my dishwashing gloves. Should have ordered them earlier. It's a struggle every time I try to take my ring off when the weather is somewhat decent...

Yes! That is exactly what she had! Thanks Rhea, I had never seen one other than my Grams.

Sandeek, opening the hinge had never crossed my mind and I can see where this might be difficult. I'm going to visit her sometime this week so I will ask her about her personal experience and try to get more information or pics in case you decide that you are interested.

Re: Ring wrapper for those of us with swollen knuckle proble

OK well I received my ring wrappers in size small which was supposed to be for 5-9 ring size. They are way too tight. I contacted the company and they said in a little over two weeks they will have size medium plus. I will return mine for that size. I think the large will be too large to function properly. Seems like they only made these in small and large until they got enough complaints about sizing. Hope that the medium will work. By the way my ring size is a 5.25 and it is a solitaire with a simple setting set with a medium height.I will report on this again when the new ones arrive.

Re: Ring wrapper for those of us with swollen knuckle proble

I thought mine was uncomfortable tight, as well. My ring size is a 6 and the stone is a 1.41 OEC, set moderately high. Good to know that they are going to offer another size.

Re: Ring wrapper for those of us with swollen knuckle proble

Thanks Christina. I look forward to your review on the hinge.

I received my ring wrap in the mail this weekend and while I did find it a bit tough pulling it over my low profile prongs, once I got it into place it felt fine and I would feel much better weeding with my garden gloves on over this. The added protection, for me, is worth it as today there was no way those rings were coming off after a weekend away :o

Maybe the medium will fit better, I still think its worth the money for me.
