Ring Sizers In Australia

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone out there know if I can purchase anything like the attached photo in Australia?

I''m living in Cairns, Queensland and I can''t seem to find anything like it in Australia. All I seem to be finding are these zip-tie type tools and print-out measuring guides.

I''m just trying to cut down on the time factor because having anything shipped from the USA is likely to take up to 3 weeks... Paying more for fast shipping doesn''t seem to make sense for a $2 item.

We''ve been to a couple jewellery stores for sizing, but I''d like something my girlfriend can wear for a while to see if it is the proper size, then we can post it to the jeweller for them to measure so innacuracy isn''t a problem.

Ebay possibly?

Your best best would be ebay or buying a cheapie silver band from somewhere like goldmark in the same thickness as the ring you want and send that to jeweller , I was going to do that (I bought a silver band for like $20 but I just got sized at Tiffany's.

I''ve been around to almost all of the jewellery shops in town, but unfortunately they don''t carry rings small enough. I did find a children''s signet ring at Angus & Coote that might fit (she''s been measured once as a G 1/2 and the ring comes in a G or a H) so I''m taking my GF there today to try it out. Most places charge about $40 for sizing so it''s not worth buying a $40 silver ring and sizing it.

I checked eBay, but nothing local like what I''m looking for, it''s all from USA, I was hoping someone in Australia would sell them, but it seems they don''t exsist in this country. I would take her to Tiffany''s if there was one here, but unfortunately they don''t have any stores this far North.

I guess if the signet rings don''t work out I''ll just have to be patient and order the plastic rings from USA.
