Just got a beautiful pave michael b band but am concerned that it''s a tad too loose. I was sized as a 5 but now that I''ve worn it a couple of days I''ve noticed that I can easily slip it off my finger (well with a slight tug and twist). Being that it is summer I''m afraid that the ring will def be too big in the winter.

The problem is if I decide to go with a 4 3/4 - the band will have to be re-made by michael b. So do I just have some sizing balls put in or do I have it properly resized? Is there even a noticable difference between a 5 and a 4 3/4?

Who knew that this would be such a stressful purchase:/

I would stick with the one you've got, and if it's loose in the winter try sizing balls or wear a ring guard above it. Most people's fingers get bigger, not smaller over time. I wish I'd gotten a bigger wedding band--it's uncomfortably tight in the summer. Especially if you're young and plan to have children, it's nice to have a little extra room to grow.

What you describe (having to persuade the ring to go off the finger) sounds reasonably normal to me - no reason to resize. Is the ring slipping off teh finger by itself after you spent a few hours in an air conditioned room? Summer ot not, it is likely that the change of average temperature is not that drastic for you as it is for the wether forcasts.

A quarter of a size is very subtle, but my fingers definitely change more than that from hot to cold. Solution? I just change rings from one finger to another if things get extreme, otherwise I'd have to resize them twice a year (or have "summer" and "winter" versions).

OOOh, Valeria, summer and winter versions, hmmmm. I wonder if my DH would buy that excuse for a dollar? Naaah, probably not. (See tag line)
