Hi,

I''ve search around here and got some preliminary information to help clarify some fit questions. I still need more information.

Current ring size: 4.75
Too small: 4.0

ISSUE:
My lovely fiance has very small knuckles. So, even though the ring is ''comfortable'' to wear, it isn''t very secure.

-Size 4.5 seems to fit but there is concern it might be too loose

QUESTION:
Can someone point me to some CHEAP rings that I could purchase (4.25 and 4.50) so she would wear each for a couple of days and see what best fits her?

We''ve gone to department stores and B&Ms but they typically only stock sizes 5 and up.

Thanks

try etsy.com

ETA:sorry the above link was from my own silver search, you can do your own keyword searches.

have an etsy artisan make her plain silver ring in both sizes, they are relatively cheap for custom made rings. Otherwise, how bout sizing beads? for the 4.5 size.

Does she also wear a band? if not, then when you pair a wedding band with the 4.5 size it might make it just perfect.

Good idea D&T! Make sure the samples are the thickness you want, too, as that affects fit. Then send the one you like to the jeweler who will resize/make the e-ring because they may measure sizing differently.

I have found that adding a wb makes the e-ring fit at least half a size smaller. So you might just want to insure the ring and wear the 4.5 until the wedding. Too much resizing is not great for the ring I think.

It is secure as long as she can put the ring on and shake her hand about and it will not fly off.

Oo I was about to suggest Etsy too! We did that too last year.

Just make sure they use the same sizing scale as the place that will be re-sizing your ring!

I''m going to have her look at that.

Thanks for the help :)
