Just go over to the diamond district on 47th btw 6th & 5th, and you'll have more to look at than you know what to do with. Salespeople may try to pressure you, but just be friendly and firm. Many of them are very nice. My favorite shop is Eric Originals & Antiques. ID Jewelry, Diamonds by Lauren, and Parks Fine Jewelry are also over there, and are big favorites on this site.
