Hi all,
I've had my engagement ring reset in a preloved CvB Casablanca Halo (reset by Caysie) and when I received it, it was way too large. I sent it back and had it resized from 4.5ish to a size 4 + sizing beads (I wear a 3.75 normally) to account for summer swelling. This was approximately 6 months ago and it's been fairly loose ever since. It spins a little in the summer but isn't that bothersome. In the winter it's very loose. I was going to just live with it, but it has now slipped off of my finger into my backpack (yesterday) and jacket pocket (today) without me noticing.
I'm so relieved that I didn't lose my ring permanently! My question is - should I contact Caysie again to resize with her or should I take it to a reputable jeweler in Boston? I'm a little tired of sending off the ring, but understand it might be best to only let her modify the ring. Any recommendations for a Boston jeweler? I read some of the old threads and it seemed that Long's was recommended about a decade ago.
Thanks in advance for your advice and happy happy holidays everyone!
