Hi all ,newbie here.

My GF likes the tiffany style simple look solitaire ring but not with the knife edge stylee.
She likes a flat band and a generally medium to thin ring.

We are after this with the tiffany six prong design holding probably a 1ct stone.

Tiffanys only seem to do the knife edge style on their rings?

If we buy elsewhere could we find the same style but without the knife edge?

I had the same dilemma, I was set on a Tiff replica, but didn''t want the knife edge.

Whiteflash made me a gorgeous ring. I got their Tiff Classic 6 prong setting, with a half round band instead of the knife edge. It was a 2.2mm band, but I had it taken down to 2mm here in Australia after shipment (not that the setting wasn''t gorgeous, I just changed my mind after hehehe!). WF have made a few of these I believe.

Here is the thread with the orginal pics from WF.

Yes, definately - have a look at Whiteflsh.com, they have very nice quality mounts, reasonable prices (definately compared to Tiff''s!), and they will customize almost anything..so if you see something you like in a 4 prong, just ask if it can be done in 6..
I have a solitaire from them and couldn''t be happier.

Have you decided on your specs for a diamond yet? I''m guessing round brilliant, yes? While at WF also check out their ACA stones - they are extremely well cut diamonds, which makes them sparklier etc than "average" cuts.

Thanks everyone for the replies so far!

Stone is a round brilliant? I think! Very simple design overall.
G''ish colour, one jeweller in hatton garden showed us G and E coloured and the E seemed a lot whiter.
They were pushing to sell us one of thei own non GIA certified diamonds.

A 0.91 E SI1 with platinum ring was £4100.

With regards to whiteflash if they are american i woul have to pay 17.5% tax on it when it arrived here which wouold be a pain!

Also do Tiffs do various differnet price stones as well?
on there website they just have 1ct solitaire = £6700

It doesnt give you details of the stones on the website and i was wondering if you can get a 1ct but like a g colour and SI1 or SI2.

From what ive been told most cannot see anything in the ring with the naked eye usually on most SI1''s???
