Ring design question re; Inserts: Can a wrap/insert be made

I have a roundish stone but want I have an idea to make a wrap / insert for it so that it has a squarish look to the center stone and also a split band or interesting band...
I thought of this because i don't want to change the setting. Has anyone ever seen this or any designers out there, is this possible to do?

Hmmm...I'm not sure I understand. Can you explain a bit more about your current stone...and what you want it to be?

i want to beef up the ring without changing the setting...

I haven't seen many wraps to engagement rings, but most vendors here do customer work that may be able to develop one.
