Isn''t it beautiful? Is this girl a PSer or what?

Rigga, you''ll have to tell us everything about this stunner...isn''t there a story around it? It seems I remember the stone is ungraded..or at least was until the "experts" at the north end of the lunch table in SF did it for you!

LOL..

I hope there''re more pictures....tell all!

Well, Rigga went out on the town with a friend and I''m away from my computer that has the rest of the pics, but the stories and the pics will come!

And just for kicks, I''ll make Rigga explain how these lovely earrings managed to *jump* out of the display case at Dianne''s Old and New yesterday..... right into her handbag....

Oh my goodness!

First of all - a big thanks to WM for the amazing pictures.

Secondly, when I get home, I promise to post the info I have on the ring - the "official details" and such.

As for the story of the ring...

My father started his own business in 1950...and got the most amazing office manager the same year I was born, many years later. "Legend" has it that she needed money...and somehow decided to sell her mother''s "dinner ring" (Dinner ring? Eeep!) to my father...who "put it away" for me. (My mother never got such a ring...not that she would have worn it in the first place....but still...it just goes to show what a "Daddy''s girl" I was and still am.)

So, about 15 years ago, I managed to pry my ring from my mother''s fists and safety deposit box and have just recently started to wear it more.

It''s desperately needed an "airing out." I love it to death, and was so delighted to get to share it with "like minded folks" at the GTG.

I''m definitely going to take the advice to wear it more often.

As for the earrings...It''s late...I''ll write more later.

Love the stone, the mount ( how the circle of diamonds are tilted outward...that''s neat!).... and it looks to be just the most fun to wear......

Wow, that is one neat ring! Very pretty. I am so glad you are airing it out! Wear it in good health!

Wow - I love the new earrings! They are so pretty. Cabochon Sapphire? When were they made? Very, very nice.

That rock ROCKS!

Yup, cabochon sapphire. Circa 1950''s.

And can I just say that WM is like a drug dealer when it comes to taking me to all of these jewlery stores I just need to check out?

The earrings are from Dianne''s on Union St. When we went back today to pick up the vintage watch I bought the same day, Dianne had a lovely bottle of bubbles for me as well.

I''m a fan for life. I had such a great time talking to her, it was like I''ve known her for forever.

rigga-
i lOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE your ring! i was coveting it at the GTG. that stone is amazing. it fit quite perfectly on my hand too

those earrings are so delicate and classy, lucky find! so glad you''ve joined the madness. welcome!

What a great setting! Broad shoulders and diamonds big enough to keep track of... And that center one isn't bad, either.

Ada - I will not post the silly remark I was thinking of when I read your post - only because I haven''t been on this board long enough to know if I''d get in trouble for "saying it out loud."
