Retailers with 18K gold and platinum fine jewelry?

Does anyone have any recommendations for retailers with a large 18K gold and platinum fine jewelry selection? I've been browsing Whiteflash, James Allen, Blue Nile, Costco, etc. and most pieces are 14K gold. I'd prefer to buy "off the rack" vs. going custom, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of options. Any recommendations would be welcome. My skin is very sensitive and I don't want to risk any allergic reactions, otherwise I'd just buy 14K gold pieces. Thanks!

What kind of jewelry? Cartier, Tiffany and VCA use only 18kt gold. At other stores you may just have to request 18kt or platinum.

TBD, I've been looking at necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. I've looked at some of the branded jewelers, but I don't think it's worth paying the premium for the branding. Just looking for well designed, high quality pieces. That's a good idea to request 18K or platinum and see if retailers have it.

depends on what you’re looking for - ethnic jewelers, like Indian or Chinese jewelers, will usually carry 22kt/18kt pieces. They may not carry a lot of white gold, but it might be worth checking out.

Brian Gavin does mostly 18k and plat, and I do not think their pricing is out of line at all (to what I see locally).

Tiffany, Cartier, VCA... If I wanted interesting and a huge variety of 18k gold and platinum, I would definitely spend time perusing Tiffany.

I looked at 2 "similarly" styled earrings at Blue Nile and Tiffany's. The Blue Nile one is $6,450 while the Tiffany's is $41,000. Hoping to find more interesting pieces at Blue Nile prices as Tiffany's is 8x more expensive!

I wish manufacturers were required to be more specific regarding their alloys. I might be able to wear 14K for a bracelet or necklace, but I know my ears are very sensitive. I had to return a pair of 14K diamond earrings once because my ears were in so much pain and burning. It's definitely a bit awkward to return jewelry and I don't want to make it a habit due to potential allergic reactions. I was also a bridesmaid and I'm not sure what the necklace was made of, but I had rashes and hives where it touched my neck afterwards.

I don't know you feel about pre-loved pieces but I think you can put 18K and platinum as parameters on 1st Dibs, Ruby Lane, The Real Real, etc.

(Personally I love pre-loved because I can find a wider array of styles and better prices than just what is in the stores for the current season.)
