Below is a side profile photo of a ring that i am interested in purchasing. This particular vendor does not re-size rings. There was another vendor that stated he has a jeweler of 30+yrs exp that would be able to re-size (a different ring to the one below) from a 10 to a 6. Maybe he wanted me purchase the ring as i have read on here that re-sizing up to 2 sizes is what is the standard. So, i got thinking about other rings that i like that i could potentially get re- sized. Hence my dilemma.

Before i go down the path of buying the ring below, i am asking jewellers/ appraisers or others on PS to see if a re-size from 9.75- to a 6 is possible for this ring?

Would i lose the integrity of the ring?

O'wise i might have to go down the path of getting this design for my new project.

You should ask the jeweler you plan on using to see if his bench can do it. Only because while some here may say yes, your guy might say no. Bring in pictures and dimensions. Good luck!

I agree with this, that ultimately you'll need to double check with your jeweler. But, just looking at it, it doesn't have any side diamonds, so I would think yes. Beside the one diamond is bezel set so I wouldn't think resizing would affect that. I would still send this picture to your jeweler and get a for sure from them.

Personally, I do think it might be a challenge, because the top of the ring is basically sculpted and has been designed for the larger diameter. As others have said, your jeweler can give you the best assessment. Good luck!

I agree it does look like it has been sculpted and has been designed for the larger diameter but yes you can get it checked with your Jeweler for his opinion.
Post a photo of it if you decide to get it done and once it arrives.
