resizing etoile

i am wondering if an etoile band ring with burnished diamonds, not eternity, in gold, can be resized from a 7 to a size 9? the ring was originally a 6, and sized to a 7. i would like to size it again to a 9, is this possible, or would the diamond pop out of the bezels?

Hi, I had a scatterset ring similar to the etoile, I wanted to have it resized and was told that the stones would all have to be reset which makes it very expensive to do. My ring has 26 stones of varying sizes and I was quoted £350 ish (sorry - not sure what that is in dollars at the moment) to have it resized.
